You seem to be misunderstanding the tweet thread. Bringing up men wasn’t “It’s bad when men do it but good when women do it.” What that was is that certain people – what a lot of people call “antis” – seem to go a lot easier on mainstream stuff, especially if it’s created by white cishet, non-disabled men, than they do on fanworks and independent stuff, especially if it’s created by women, poc, disabled people, queer people, etc. It’s anger misdirected at people whose work have less audience.

Even reading your Anon, I don’t think I was misunderstanding the thread – those people don’t have misdirected anger, they have wrong anger. That’s why the thirteenth tweet was such a sour note: The first twelve were all correct (”Don’t hate these people,”) and then were all ruined by “Hate these people instead,” rather than “just stop hating you malcontents.”
